Lev Vygotsky is a classic of Russian psychology. He was the first to explore higher psychological functions and created the concept of the “new man.”
Thinking and Speech is a posthumous collection of Vygotsky's works. Exploring the causes of the crisis in psychology that arose at the beginning of the last century, L.S. Vygotsky discovered that the existing concepts of the development of the psyche are based on an erroneous approach, which he called naturalistic. Vygotsky opposed this point of view with his cultural-historical concept of the development of the psyche.
