The Gita is written in the form of a dialogue between the prince Arjuna and his charioteer Krishna, who is the Divine Incarnation, which reveals great spiritual truths to the prince. The Gita affirms a positive attitude towards the world and the universe and teaches action based on spiritual knowledge - Karma Yoga.Sri Aurobindo, denoting his attitude to this with the words “All life is Yoga”, certainly attached special importance to the book . He made his own translation of the Gita into English and wrote commentaries on it, which were subsequently published under the title Essay on the Gita.
