Sri Aurobindo always insisted that only he himself could accurately describe his life, but he himself did not leave behind any detailed biography or more or less ordered notes. Only in letters to his students and other people, he sometimes, explaining this or that concept, refers to examples or specific episodes from his life and his spiritual experience. He also, when there were errors in book or magazine publications, he himself clarified some points of his biography. These materials are published in the first part of our publication. The book also includes some letters from the Jubilee edition on yoga, poetry, literature or art, in which there are references to Sri Aurobindo.
