A "divine comedy" is a grandiose monument of poetic culture and real encyclopaedia of medieval world view. In her a poet makes voyage through three reigns of the beyond the grave world and with surprizing evidentness and clarity of image gives the living, memorizable picture of what be going on there.Common folk perceived the poem of Данте literal. Боккаччо told about two habitants of Verona, that, noticing passing by Данте, exchanged significant remarks. "Look, - one said, - here that, who goes down in Hell and, returning from there, when will wish, brings a new about being there sinners". Other answered: "It Must be, you are right: look, as a beard of him курчава and face of him blackly from smoke and soot of hellish fire". In our days historians and critics until now do not stop spores about what this great work is: by a "guide-book" on the beyond the grave world or attempt to get to know непознаваемое, to find rational in irrational, to show to the people a way from darkness and sorrow to light and gladness.
