In the ancient Chinese monument, the most important source of information about the ideology, history and culture of the Western Han (II-I centuries BC), in the form of a discussion (dispute) the points of view of senior officials and representatives of the educated elite on many political and economic problems, in particular on the importance of the state monopoly on iron production and salt mining. The publication is published in two volumes. The first volume included an introduction, a translation of 12 chapters, a commentary and a bibliography. The second volume includes a translation of 48 chapters (13-60), commentary, bibliography, indexes and a summary in English, which is an abbreviated presentation of the theoretical part of the study.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.

Книга "Суперечка про солі та залізо" є неймовірно цінним джерелом для всіх, хто цікавиться історією та культурою давнього Китаю. У формі живої дискусії автори представляють різноманітні погляди на важливі політичні та економічні питання, що стояли перед суспільством Західної Хань. Вона не лише розкриває ідеологічні основи того часу, але й демонструє, як інтелектуали намагалися знайти рішення для складних проблем, з якими стикалася їхня держава. Переклад виконано з великою увагою до деталей, хоча й є деякі недоліки, пов'язані з технологією. Проте, це не зменшує цінності книги, адже вона відкриває двері до глибшого розуміння давньокитайських ідей та їхнього впливу на сучасність. Я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться історією, філософією та культурою, адже вона є справжнім скарбом знань.
