Oleg Aleksandrovich Yuryev was born in 1959 in Leningrad. Poet, novelist, playwright and essayist. Since 1991 he lives in Frankfurt, writes in Russian and German. He published 16 books in German and 16 (including this one) in Russian. Winner of the Hilda Domin Prize of the city of Heidelberg (2010), awards from the magazines “Star” (2012) and “New World” (2013), the “Difference” award for the book of poems “ABOUT THE MOTHERLAND” (2014). Translations of poetry, prose and plays into German, English, French, Italian, Serbian, Polish and other languages, productions in many countries.
