Oleg Yuryev's new book contains texts about literature and essays bordering on prose. His focus is on the hidden great non-existent literature of the 20th century, suppressed by the dominant ideology and aesthetics, to which he is trying to return existence: Tikhon Churilin, Pavel Zaltsman, Vsevolod Petrov, Boris Vakhtin, Vladimir Gubin... But his attention is also attracted by writers on the border of cultures , on the border of languages, be it Vladimir Nabokov, Paul Celan or Sholom Aleichem. The last section presents essays that seem to restore the time and place of origin of the author: 1970s-1980s of the last century, Leningrad.
