The book by the greatest thinker of our time, Gilles Deleuze, is dedicated to one of the most complex and at the same time traditional topics for philosophical research: what is meaning? Drawing on Carroll, Nietzsche, Freud and the Stoics, the author develops an original philosophical concept, linking meaning directly to nonsense and events, which are sharply different from the metaphysical entities characteristic of the philosophical tradition marked by the Plato-Hegel link. The book also includes an article by Michel Foucault, where a detailed commentary on Deleuze’s works “The Logic of Sense” and “Distinction and Repetition” is given.
