Роман "Місто та пси" — це глибоке і потужне дослідження життя перуанської молоді, яке захоплює з перших сторінок. Маріо Варгас Льоса майстерно передає атмосферу військового училища, де кадети стикаються з жорстокими реаліями, дружбою, зрадою та пошуками власної ідентичності. Книга не лише розкриває складні стосунки між персонажами, але й порушує важливі питання про суспільство, традиції та моральні цінності. Новий переклад Дар'ї Синіцин, хоч і має деякі недоліки, все ж передає глибину та емоційність оригіналу. Це твір, який змушує задуматися про життя, вибір та наслідки, і я б рекомендував його всім, хто цінує якісну літературу. Льоса дійсно заслуговує на свою Нобелівську премію, адже його стиль та глибина думки вражають!
