Dazai Osamu is perhaps one of the most tragic figures in Japanese literature of the 20th century. It is difficult to attribute it to a specific literary movement. Many call him a classic of the “novel about himself” (“watakushi-sesetsu”), others talk about his closeness to romanticism, but despite the fact that both are undoubtedly present in his work, Dazai Osamu’s prose is difficult to fit into the narrow framework of one genre. Most of the works included in the book have not been translated into Russian before.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.

Книга "Вибрані твори" Дадзая Осаму - це справжня перлина для всіх, хто цікавиться японською культурою та літературою XX століття. Автор, безсумнівно, є однією з найтрагічніших і найцікавіших постатей, чия творчість вражає глибиною емоцій та складністю переживань. Його твори не підпорядковуються жодному жанру, що робить їх ще більш унікальними. Читачі можуть поринути у світ особистих переживань, що переплітаються з романтичними елементами, створюючи неповторну атмосферу. Переклад, хоч і здійснений за допомогою штучного інтелекту, в цілому вражає своєю якістю. Звісно, є деякі недоліки, але вони не заважають насолоджуватися глибиною думок та почуттів автора. Ця книга не тільки знайомить з новими творами, які раніше не були доступні російською мовою, але й відкриває нові горизонти для розуміння японської літератури. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто хоче відчути справжню красу слова та зануритися у світ глибоких емоцій і переживань!
