Multatuli, Peter Valentinovich (1969-). “God forbid, just don’t get drawn into a war!” Emperor Nicholas II and the pre-war crisis of 1914 [Text]: Facts against myths / P. V. Multatuli; Russian Institute of Strategic Research. - Moscow: RISI, 2014. - 250 pp.; 20 cm; ISBN 978-5-7893-0208-8

The book is dedicated to the policy of Emperor Nicholas II to prevent world war. Essentially, the desire to avoid Russia's involvement in a European war, while simultaneously maintaining its importance as a leading world power, was the main goal of the Tsar's foreign policy throughout his reign. This desire was most clearly manifested in the pre-war situation of June - August 1914. The peacekeeping role of Nicholas II was distorted and slandered for many years in Soviet historical science, not to mention the public consciousness of that time.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
