In 2010–2011 N. S. Mikhalkov’s film “Burnt by the Sun 2” (“Imminence” and “Citadel”) was released on world cinema screens. Even 8 months before the release of the film, a real furious campaign was launched against him in the liberal media, both Western and domestic. The author of the book studied the nature of this campaign and came to the conclusion that it came from those who want to destroy our country, our state, our morality. This imaginary criticism was caused not by artistic, but by ideological and political reasons for the deliberate defamation of the entire work of N. S. Mikhalkov.
