This volume of selected works by the French playwright, writer and thinker Eugene Ionesco (1909–1994) represents his creative heritage in the variety of literary genres in which he worked. The section “Theater” includes the famous plays “Chairs”, “The Lesson” , “Victims of Debt”, etc., which became the golden fund of the theater of the absurd. Ionesco the prose writer is represented by the novel “Lonely” in a new translation and his “Tales for those under three years old” translated into Russian for the first time. In the section “Around plays » includes fragments from the book “Between Life and Dreams”, in which Ionesco appears as a memoirist and theater theorist.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.

Книга "Між життям та сновидінням" є справжнім скарбом для всіх, хто цінує глибокі роздуми про життя, театр та людську природу. Ежен Іонеско, як завжди, вражає своєю оригінальністю та здатністю порушувати важливі питання через призму абсурду. Ця збірка творів демонструє не лише його майстерність драматурга, але й таланти прозаїка, що робить книгу багатогранною та цікавою. Особливо вразили "Казки для тих, кому ще немає трьох років", які, незважаючи на свою простоту, містять глибокі істини. Хоча переклад, здійснений за допомогою штучного інтелекту, має деякі недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися літературною спадщиною Іонеско. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто хоче поринути у світ театру абсурду та відкрити для себе нові грані творчості великого майстра!
