The sixth volume of A. Averchenko’s works includes works published in 1923–1925. in the collections: “The Funny in the Scary” (1923), “Notes of the Simple-minded. “I’m in Europe” (1923), “Rest on the Nettles” (1924), “Tales of a Cynic” (1925) and the writer’s only novel, “The Maecenas’ Joke,” written in 1923 and published posthumously in 1925. The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
