Annotation Gautier Sans Avoir (performed OCR and proofreading): The third book by English author Jim Corbett (1875–1955) is partly autobiographical. It consists of essays about the life and work of the poorest Indians: peasants - tenants of Jim Corbett's lands, railway workers, where the author served for 21 years as a loading and unloading contractor, etc. A number of touching stories are presented, testifying to the selfless help of Corbett and ordinary Indians to the poor who find themselves in a difficult situation. Interesting details of the life and customs of the inhabitants of Northern India in the first half of the 20th century. In a certain sense, this work is no less entertaining than the works of J. Corbett about tigers and man-eating leopards.

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
