Annotation from Gautier Sans Avoir (refinement of the e-book and proofreading with paper editions): The first book by the English author Jim Corbett (1875–1955) is dedicated to his activities to eliminate man-eating tigers and , incidentally, leopards attacking livestock. The number of victims of each man-eating tiger is impressive; suffice it to say that the first beast destroyed by J. Corbett managed to tear to pieces 434 people before that. The hunt for cannibals and meetings with their victims (dead and seriously wounded) is described by the author in a chronicle style, with virtually no emotion.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
