The number of victims of each man-eating tiger is impressive; suffice it to say that the first beast destroyed by J. Corbett managed to tear to pieces 434 people before that. The hunt for cannibals and meetings with their victims (dead and seriously wounded) is described by the author in a chronicle style, with virtually no emotion.
