The collection of the famous Egyptian prose writer, classic of Arabic literature, Nobel Prize laureate of 1988 includes the novels “Tales of Our Street” and “The Path” published in Russian for the first time, as well as the novel “The Thief and the Dogs” already known to the Soviet reader, in which the writer explores the stages of the spiritual history of mankind, trying to determine what each of them meant for saving people from social injustice and political tyranny.

Ця книга є справжнім подарунком для всіх, хто цінує глибокі та змістовні твори. Збірка включає в себе три романи, які не лише захоплюють сюжетом, але й спонукають до роздумів про соціальну справедливість та політичну тиранію. «Передання нашої вулиці» та «Шлях» вражають своєю актуальністю та глибиною, а «Злодій і собаки» вже давно став класикою, яка не втрачає своєї значущості. Хоча переклад здійснено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних недоліків, загалом текст читається легко і зрозуміло. Я вважаю, що ця збірка повинна бути в бібліотеці кожного, хто цікавиться не лише літературою, а й соціальними питаннями, що хвилюють людство. Рекомендую всім!
