How did the children of late Soviet generations develop an understanding of what kind of world they live in? The real world and the propaganda “otherness”—how did they correlate in the child’s consciousness? How did parents instill in their children that talking and thinking is dangerous, that “nothing depends on us”? These attitudes were completely contrary to the declared goals of communist education, but it was the directives of conformity and fear that were instilled and perceived with overwhelming effectiveness. Книга "Один на один з державною брехнею" є глибоким дослідженням того, як діти пізньорадянських поколінь формували своє розуміння реальності в умовах тоталітарного режиму. Автор майстерно розкриває, як пропаганда та страх впливали на свідомість дітей, формуючи у них установки, які суперечили офіційним ідеалам комуністичного виховання. Читач має можливість заглянути в психологію тих часів, зрозуміти, як батьки намагалися захистити своїх дітей від небезпек, але водночас самі піддавалися тиску системи. Книга спонукає до роздумів про наслідки такої виховної практики, які відчуваються і в сучасному суспільстві. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних неточностей, загальна якість перекладу залишається на високому рівні. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться історією, психологією та соціальними змінами в Україні та світі
