The nineteenth novel from the “History of Poland” series by Yu. I. Kraszewski covers the reign of four Polish kings: Casimir Jagiellonczyk (1445–1492), Jan Olbracht (1492–1501), Alexander (1501–1506), Sigismund the Old (1506) –1548).The main character of the novel, the orphan Yashka Orfan, on whose behalf the story is told, is looking for his parents. He serves in turn at the court of these kings and talks about the historical events he witnessed and about his own fate. The novel is published in Russian for the first time.

Книга "Спогади про життя та діяння Яшки, прозваного Орфаном" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Ю. І. Крашевський майстерно поєднує історичні факти з вигаданими подіями, створюючи живий та захоплюючий світ, в якому читач може відчути атмосферу епохи правління королів. Головний герой, Яшка, - це не просто сирота, а символ пошуку ідентичності та місця в житті. Його подорож, сповнена випробувань та зустрічей з видатними особистостями, змушує задуматися про важливість коріння та сімейних зв'язків. Хоча переклад тексту за допомогою штучного інтелекту іноді містить незначні недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися глибоким змістом і емоційною наповненістю твору. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться історією Польщі та хоче поринути в захоплюючий світ літератури!
