The novel “The Infanta” is the twenty-first novel in the wonderful “History of Poland” series. It takes the reader back to the short reign of Henry of Valois (1572–1575) in Poland. The main character of the novel is Anna Jagiellonka, the last princess of the Jagiellonian family. Her unhappy life, struggle for power, love for Henry, hopes and dreams are masterfully outlined in this book, which truly belongs to the hand of a master.
