And only a few of them miraculously managed to survive, hiding their Jewishness and taking fictitious or alien names and surnames, but lived under the eternal fear of “exposure.” In this book, Soviet Jewish prisoners of war who survived the war against fascism talk about their tragic fate - about their comrades and saviors, about their traitors and murderers. They tell the story without looking back - the way it really happened.

Читання цієї книги — це не лише подорож у минуле, але й можливість усвідомити, як національна приналежність могла стати вироком. Спогади тих, хто вижив, про їхніх товаришів, рятівників і зрадників, вражають своєю щирістю та емоційною глибиною. Книга змушує задуматися про людяність, моральні вибори та жахливі наслідки війни.
