Роман "Ефіоп" Бориса Штерна - це справжнє відкриття для української літератури. Автор, відомий своєю майстерністю в короткій прозі, в цьому творі демонструє нові грані свого таланту, створюючи епічну історію, яка захоплює з перших сторінок. Сюжет, що розгортається на фоні історичних подій, сплітає в собі елементи комедії, драми та іронії, що робить його надзвичайно динамічним і цікавим. Яскраві персонажі, зокрема шкіпер-ефіоп та український хлопчик Сашко, створюють незабутні образи, які залишаються в пам'яті надовго. Стиль написання Штерна вражає своєю соковитістю та емоційністю, а також вмінням передати атмосферу епохи.
