The novel “Nobody Knows the Night,” according to Danish critics, paved the way for the “new technique” of the 20th century novel in Danish prose. It tells about the events of the last year of the war in Nazi-occupied Copenhagen and depicts different people, representatives of different walks of life. Some of them managed to adapt to life under occupation and even succeed in it. Others, threatened by the Gestapo, were brought together by fate in a warehouse awaiting transport to Sweden.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
