The most mysterious and scandalous of the great novels of medieval China, was written in the 17th century.
The name of the author has not been preserved, only the pseudonym is known - the Lanlin Mocker. This is the first Chinese novel of a realistic nature, which was considered so obscene that its complete publication is still prohibited in China.
Unlike traditional novels that described mythological or historical events, Jin, Ping, Mei tells the cheerful life of a nouveau riche rascal surrounded by his four wives and numerous concubines.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.

Книга "Квіти сливи в золотій вазі" – це справжній шедевр, який відкриває перед читачем завісу на загадковий світ середньовічного Китаю. Незважаючи на те, що роман написаний у XVII столітті, його теми залишаються актуальними й сьогодні. Історія пройдисвіта-нувориша, оточеного чотирма дружинами та численними наложницями, вражає своєю реалістичністю та глибиною. Автор, хоч і невідомий, майстерно зображує життя, стосунки та соціальні норми того часу, що робить роман не лише захоплюючим, але й пізнавальним. Хоча переклад здійснено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, і в деяких місцях є незначні неточності, загалом текст читається легко і зрозуміло. Ця книга не лише розважає, але й змушує замислитися над складностями людських відносин та соціальними структурами. Рекомендую всім, хто цікавиться культурою та історією Китаю, а також любителям класичної літератури!
