“Iron, Rusty Iron” is a fascinating family saga from the life of several generations of a strange Welsh-Russian “clan” against the backdrop of European history of the crazy 20th century. Fate throws the heroes onto the sinking Titanic, into revolutionary Petrograd, into the bloody whirlwind of World War II and into post-war Leningrad. The author sometimes turns to the distant past - to the “good old days” of King Arthur, whose legendary sword is inexplicably taken from Soviet Russia to Wales by one of the main characters of the book.
