For the first time in the history of Russian literature, the book makes an attempt to translate well-known poetic works into the language of the criminal community. Translations are given in parallel with the originals. Of particular value are the detailed comments to the translations, which explain the words and expressions used in the so-called “vagrant language”. The author knows firsthand about prisoners and criminals; he spent about 20 years in prison.
The second part of the book is an ironic mosaic: parodies, poems, ditties, etc.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
