Mikhail Mikhailovich Zoshchenko (1894–1958) occupies his special place in Soviet literature as an unsurpassed storyteller, who created the comic image of a hero-everyman, a hero-philistine with a sharp satirical sound. And it is no coincidence that his truthful works were often assessed by party circles as “slander of Soviet reality.” The book includes a series of satirical short stories “The Blue Book”, comedies “Crime and Punishment” and “Wedding”, on which the popular movie “It Can’t Be!” (director L.
