Guillaume Apollinaire (1880–1918) is one of the most significant names in the history of European literature. Having completed the classical period of French poetry, he opened the horizons of the “new lyrical consciousness.” His poetic “Bestiary” (1911), books “Alcohols” (1913) and “Calligrams” (1918) largely determined the path of further development and existence of poetry. The three-volume Collected Works of Apollinaire, published in Russia for the first time, brings to the reader brilliant examples of his lyrics. The first volume of the Collected Works includes the author’s poetic collections, the parable “The Rotting Sorcerer” (1909), and the Apollinaire Theater is represented by his famous play “The Breasts of Tiresias” (1917), in the preface to which the word “surrealism” first appeared, picked up by the poet’s closest followers.

Відкриття нових горизонтів у поезії!
Том 1 "Вибрана лірика" Гійома Аполлінера – це справжня перлина для всіх шанувальників поетичного слова. Автор, який став одним із основоположників сюрреалізму, вражає своєю здатністю поєднувати класичні елементи з новаторськими ідеями. Читання його віршів – це подорож у світ емоцій, образів і глибоких роздумів. Особливо вразила притча "Гниючий чарівник", яка, на мій погляд, є яскравим прикладом його вміння передавати складні філософські ідеї через прості, але влучні образи. А п'єса "Грудь Тіресія" стала справжнім відкриттям, адже вона не лише розкриває нові грані театрального мистецтва, але й стає символом цілого покоління. Хоча переклад тексту в деяких моментах може бути недосконалим, це не заважає насолоджуватися глибиною і красою його поезії. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто хоче зануритися в світ європейської літератури і відчути пульс нової ліричної свідомості!
