Robert Bloch is a recognized master of mystery and horror, who stood at the origins of the genre and seriously influenced a number of authors, including Stephen King. A student and follower of Howard Lovecraft himself, Bloch was constantly published in the cult magazine Weird Tales and is the author of the famous thriller Psychosis, filmed by Alfred Hitchcock. The fourth volume of short prose includes the master’s stories written in 1939, as well as from 1942 to 1944 .

The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
