Robert Bloch is a recognized master of mystery and horror, who stood at the origins of the genre and seriously influenced a number of authors, including Stephen King. A student and follower of Howard Lovecraft himself, Bloch was constantly published in the cult magazine Weird Tales and is the author of the famous thriller Psychosis, filmed by Alfred Hitchcock. The fourth volume of short prose includes the master’s stories written in 1939, as well as from 1942 to 1944 .
