In Iskander's fantastic fairy tale, boas and rabbits - despite their seemingly complete opposites - form a single whole. A special symbiosis arises. A special kind of ugly community. “Because a rabbit processed by a boa constrictor,” as the Great Python muses, “turns into a boa constrictor. This means that boas are rabbits at the highest stage of their development. In other words, we are the former them, and they are the future us.”
