Книга "Золото Вільгельма" Фазіля Іскандера – це справжній літературний шедевр, який вражає своєю глибиною та пронизливим гумором. Автор майстерно відтворює світ дитинства, показуючи, як формуються характери під впливом суспільства та його звичаїв. Його спостереження про радянську та пострадянську Росію настільки точні, що змушують задуматися про важливі питання, які досі залишаються актуальними. Особливо вражає, як Іскандер переплітає ліричні моменти з гострою сатирою, змушуючи читача сміятися і водночас переживати за долю своєї країни. Завершальний філософський діалог між Богом і дияволом відкриває нові горизонти для роздумів про природу людини та сенс існування. Хоча переклад тексту має деякі недоліки, загальна якість і зміст книги роблять її вартою уваги.
