In a peaceful office, hard-working architects are idle, dreaming of some bright event. And the event is not long in coming - a corpse is discovered in the assembly hall. The victim was strangled with a belt from an ordinary office robe. And suspicion immediately falls on everyone - after all, it’s precisely these robes that the bureau employees walk around in. Mrs. Ioanna decides that the police are of little use, and therefore she takes up the investigation herself. But her colleagues are rare idiots, they cannot answer a single question clearly, they enthusiastically suspect each other and lie shamelessly. They also endlessly eat and drink, deal with lovers and mistresses, paint abstract paintings, eavesdrop and spy - and in this confusion, Joanna tries to find the killer. And at the same time, understand her own feelings and find out what she feels for the investigator, whom she managed to award with the nickname Devil.
