Vladimir Ilyich Lenin is one of the key figures in the world history of the 20th century, a revolutionary, thinker and statesman. The economic work “Imperialism as the highest stage of capitalism” (1916) is dedicated to the transition of capitalism in the late 19th – early 20th centuries. from the stage of primitive accumulation of capital to the stage of monopoly capitalism, or imperialism. The essay clearly outlines the basic economic patterns inherent in capitalism at this stage of development. The fundamental work “State and Revolution” was written by Lenin underground (1917). In it, Lenin reflects on the essence of the state as such and the role of social classes in its formation. The publication is supplemented by earlier works devoted to the philosophy of Marxism, the theory and practice of party building: “Where to start?” (1901), "What to do?"
