The book contains works by L.N. Gumilyov devoted to the history of Ancient Tibet, the emergence and development of Buddhism in Tibet and Mongolia, as well as a description of Buddhist iconography. The volume includes works from different years, including “Old Buryat Painting,” a book that remains to this day virtually the only illustrated source on general issues of Buddhist iconography.
