Once again the reader comes to the unique works of the outstanding Russian historian, geographer and ethnologist L.N. Gumilyov, published for almost 30 years in specialized small-circulation publications and forming the basis of the main theoretical work of the scientist - the theory of ethnogenesis. The originality of this collection lies in the fact that that, along with theoretical articles, it also included popular scientific works that examine such complex and little-studied phenomena in ethnogenesis as antisystems and ethnic chimeras. The book is supplemented by a “Dictionary of terms and concepts on the theory of ethnogenesis by L.N. Gumilyov”, compiled by one of the author’s students, V.A. Michurin.
