Like many other events of the Great Patriotic War, the battles on the Kursk Bulge were actually classified by the Soviet side for decades. For half a century, only a limited circle of military specialists had access to the documents of the troops who participated in this crucial battle. Only recently these funds were finally opened. Valery Zamulin was one of the first to begin analyzing and systematizing them.
