The third volume of “The Complete Yearly Circle of Brief Teachings,” compiled by Archpriest Grigory Dyachenko (1850–1903), includes teachings on all holidays and days of especially honored saints for every day from July to September (inclusive). The teachings in this work are given in honor of the saint who is either most glorified by the Church (in church services), or most honored by Orthodox Christians, or in honor of the one who is better known to church history and compilers of the lives of saints and therefore can be a model of piety through his life or a teacher of one or another Christian virtue. Relatively small in volume, accessible and convincing in presentation, sermons can be recommended to any Orthodox Christian in order to indicate how to correctly build their life according to the Gospel commandments.
