Dmitry Petrovich Oznobishin is a prominent representative of the poetry of Pushkin’s era, a virtuoso master of verse, an orientalist, and a folklorist. His excellent knowledge of languages made him an outstanding translator of poets of the West and East, and “free” translations and adaptations were organically included in the original work of the poet, who considered the poetry of the East and West as “an inexhaustible supply of new poetic expressions, phrases, words, pictures.” The grace of decoration and melody of his verse attracted the attention of composers A. A. Alyabyev, P. P. Bulakhov, N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov. CONTENTS: Book two POEMS OF DIFFERENT YEARS (5). POEMS (210). PROSE (271) .APPLICATIONS T.M.Golts. “...Poet and polyglot...” (315). N.N.
