The monograph raises a number of questions that are significant for philosophical aesthetics. What do we feel when we feel something special, Different? What happens to us at the moment when we are somehow in a special position? What are these locations? If the locations are different from each other, then why? And finally, what are the ontological premises that make such arrangements possible? Agreeing that current aesthetics has become divorced from life, the author sees a way out in creating aesthetics as a branch of ontology, as an analyst of sensory data, the subjective and objective aspects of which are not original, but are revealed in the stage of reflection on the aesthetic situation. “Aesthetics of the Other” can be defined as an attempt to give a detailed answer to these difficult questions. The book develops the conceptual apparatus of the phenomenology of aesthetic dispositions and provides an analytical description of phenomena that have not yet received in-depth philosophical and aesthetic elaboration; among them: “decrepit”, “young”, “fleeting”, “lost”, “small”, “terrible”, “terrible”, “dreary”, “boring”, “ugly”, etc. The book is intended for everyone, those interested in problems of aesthetics, ontology, philosophical anthropology.
