The completion of the Broadway Dreamers trilogy is a book that will put everything in its place! The dazzling New York of the late forties still seems like a dream... And less and less achievable. Pianist Joslyn, who came here because of his endless love of music, works elevator operator Manhattan as a costume assistant to be closer to her father, a Broadway star. Dancer Hadley gives it all up after a promising debut. Page plays in a radio play - and listeners know only her voice, while the actress herself remains invisible. Top model Chic is struggling to solve the problems that have befallen her. And rising star Grace Kelly dreams of independence. And even though the characters are far from the stellar future they would like for themselves, they never cease to be dedicated Broadway dreamers. Which means everything will work out. Or will it be time to change your dream? French writer Malika Ferdjuh (born 1957) is the author of dozens of popular novels for children and teenagers, winner of the prestigious Prix Sorcieres. Before turning to literature, she studied film history - it is not surprising that the Broadway Dreamers trilogy turned out to be romantic, like Breakfast at Tiffany's, poignant, like All That Jazz, and atmospheric, like the films of Woody Allen. Excellent translation by Nina Khotinsky retained all the charm of the original in Russian. The finale of the famous trilogy is more long-awaited than an invitation to tea with Grace Kelly!
