Vaidelots in ancient times were the name given to the pagan priests of the Baltic tribes - Samogitians, Yatvingians, Krivichi, Prussians, Latgallians. The Vaidelots were keepers of secret knowledge, defenders of their peoples and mediators in relations with the patron gods... One day, on a hot afternoon in 1220, the Vaidelot of the Dainavs found a baby at the temple of the god Ero. The boy was accepted into the tribe, raised as a real warrior and hunter, and given the name Skumand - Heavenly Man. So he might have lived an ordinary life, but cruel people from the west came to the lands of the Dainavas - the knights of the Teutonic Order, who intended to conquer the forest inhabitants. And Skumand and his faithful friend, Russian Voislav, had to stand up for the defense of their native land!..
