Second half of the 16th century. In the waters of the Baltic Sea, a subject of the Danish king, the famous privateer Karsten Rode, is captured by the Polish pirate Jendrich Asmus, with whom he has a long-standing score to settle. Asmus saved the life of his enemy, but only in order to transport him to Sweden, where a good reward was assigned for Rode’s head. At night, Karsten Rohde arranges an escape with the boatswain and navigator of his ship. After some time, Rode finds himself in the service of Ivan the Terrible and creates a whole flotilla of corsairs, with whom the mighty Britain is forced to reckon, and then ends up in the team of Francis Drake himself...
