The book by the classic Egyptologist Ernest Alfred Wallis Budge (1857-1934) is part of the multi-volume work “Books of Egypt and Chaldea.” The period of Egyptian history to which this book is dedicated begins with the reign of Ramesses I, the first king of the 19th dynasty, and ends with the reign of Ramesses XII, the last representative of the 20th dynasty. We will talk about the most important events that took place in Egypt itself and in different parts of its possessions from approximately 1400 to 1130 BC. This era is very interesting, if only because it includes the reign of Seti I, Ramesses II, Ramesses III and Merneptah, thanks to whom Egypt achieved unprecedented prosperity.
