Atharva Veda, or Veda of the fire priest Atharvan, is an ancient Indian collection of texts dating back to approximately the beginning of the 1st millennium BC. This book is the first volume of a complete Russian translation of this monument. It includes the first seven books (twenty in total), which represent the archaic basis of the collection: conspiracies and spells. Such content contrasts the Atharvaveda with other Vedas, focused on the praise and veneration of the gods. The introductory article provides a detailed, comprehensive description of this monument. The commentary is linguistic and philological in nature, and also contains explanations of realities. CONTENTS: T.Ya. Elizarenkova. Atharvaveda - structure and content 22ATHARVAVEDA (Shaunaka).
