Sabhaparva (Sanskrit: सभापर्व, “Book of the Assembly”) is the second book of the Mahabharata, consists of 2.4 thousand couplets (72 chapters according to the critical edition in Pune). “Sabhaparva” tells about the unification of ancient Indian principalities under the leadership of The Pandavas and how they were deprived of their kingdom by their cousins the Kauravas as a result of an unfair game of dice.
