We are about to meet a mysterious tribe of miners who lived about 2-4 thousand years ago in the Ross River basin (Western Belarus). It was this area that M.V. Lomonosov named as the supposed ancestral home of the Ross tribe. New data make it possible to more convincingly substantiate and develop this hypothesis. Such knowledge helps us better understand some national traditions, patterns of development and interaction of cultures, the formation of national character, as well as the unity of past and present, man and nature.
