The book by the famous Soviet and Russian writer Andrei Alekseevich Molchanov (b. 1953) includes works published in the USSR with a total circulation of 16 million copies. The novel “New Year in October” captivated readers with the courage of the author, who revealed the character of the main character, the young scientist Alexei Proshin, who rejected all “communist” values inside himself, but outwardly cleverly used them for his own purposes.
