The brochure is intended for developing a critical attitude towards one’s condition, for correcting codependent relationships in the family, for correcting distorted thinking and false judgments in the patient’s wife and parents. Already in the title of the brochure two poles, two opposite states are indicated. On the one hand, codependency, which leads to the formation of the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction, does not allow it to fade away, and is itself essentially a painful condition. On the other hand, the ability to love, which is a balance of the ability to take and give, makes relationships in the family harmonious, and the members of such a family healthy, self-sufficient and happy. The brochure can also be used by psychotherapists, psychiatrists and narcologists when working with adult family members chemically dependent and for preventive purposes.
