This publication is unique, because it gives an idea of all currently known systems of Slavic runic writing. All currently available monuments of pre-Cyrillic writing are collected and read here. This is the first edition of the "Hymn of Boyan", the oldest Slavic runic manuscript of the 4th century AD. The book gives a word-by-word translation of the “Boyanov Hymn”, talks about the Slavic runes on which it was written, and presents an outline of the history of Rus' at that time.
