This publication is unique, because it gives an idea of all currently known systems of Slavic runic writing. All currently available monuments of pre-Cyrillic writing are collected and read here. This is the first edition of the "Hymn of Boyan", the oldest Slavic runic manuscript of the 4th century AD. The book gives a word-by-word translation of the “Boyanov Hymn”, talks about the Slavic runes on which it was written, and presents an outline of the history of Rus' at that time. The reader will learn about how the text of “Boyanov’s Hymn” has been preserved to this day, and about the keeper of the runic library of the Novgorod Magi (including the “Book of Veles”, “Boyanov’s Hymn”, etc.) - A.I. Sulakadze. It also tells about the creator of this hymn Boyan, the singer of Ancient Rus', about his legacy in Russian culture and poetry.
